General Purpose

Coordinate and develop production schedule on a daily basis to meet production needs in the most efficient manner possible.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Plan, schedule, coordinate and monitor the flow of products through the complete production cycle.
  • Provide timely planning and scheduling of sales orders to the manufacturing floor in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates.
  • Ensure to maintain desired inventory levels.
  • Develop balance between existing and future customer demand needs with manufacturing and vendors to ensure completion of client requirements.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, logistics, and manufacturing departments.
  • Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements.
  • Create production orders using SAP.
  • Create and maintain production schedules so that customers' needs are met in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible.
  • Update production staff daily with the production schedule for that day, noting any color or mold changes.
  • Work closely with production staff to minimize changeovers and to provide quick responses to production issues.
  • Notify customer service of any schedule impacts to customers.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Report all accidents or near misses.
  • Adheres to all environmental and quality standards.
  • Any other tasks that may be necessary to meet the production schedule in a safe and efficient manner.

Position Differentiation by Level

Level 1 - Pay Range: $30,000 - $38,000

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge/Skills/Duties:
  • Knowledge of production and processing, raw materials, and maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Ability to interact well with internal and external customers
  • Proficient use of computer systems and software applications
  • Knowledge of ERP or MRP software preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers and employees of the organization

Level 2 - Pay Range: $38,001 - $46,000

Education/Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a Production Scheduler role

Knowledge/Skills/Duties:

  • Same as level 1

Level 3 - Pay Range: $46,001 - $65,000

Education/Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in a Production Scheduler role

Knowledge/Skills/Duties:

  • Same as level 1
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge in a production scheduling
  • Demonstrates advanced/ thorough knowledge of the injection molding industry
  • Demonstrates advanced customer (external and internal) relationship skills
